Wijziging support lifecycle van Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009

Microsoft heeft onlangs een wijziging aangekondigd in de support lifecycle van Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009.

Dit is goed nieuws voor bedrijven die op versie 2009 van Microsoft Dynamics AX werken. Voor bedrijven met een geldig Microsoft Dynamics AX Enhancement Plan is de mainstream support uitgebreid met drie jaar en verlengd tot en met 10 april 2018.

Aankondiging Microsoft

Microsoft continues to invest in new releases of Microsoft Dynamics AX.

We want to make sure that our customers can benefit from these investments when time is right for them. In addition, Microsoft aims to make this transition easy with tools and services to simplify the upgrade. Enhancements in new releases, including choice of deployment and the new integration platform, will provide organizations with flexibility when deploying one of these new releases in existing infrastructure. We realize that planning and taking your organization on such a journey is a major effort and requires time. For that reason, we have decided to extend the product lifecycle support for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 except as specified below. This extended support timeline gives customers more flexibility to choose the best timing and more options for their business to upgrade to a newer release of Microsoft Dynamics AX.?

The mainstream support date will be extended to April 10, 2018. Customers who remain current on the Microsoft Dynamics Enhancement Plan will continue to receive all of the valued benefits of the Enhancement Plan, including regulatory updates and hotfixes, with the following exclusions:

  • Support for Microsoft AX 2009 Brazil point of sale functionality according to the PAF-ECF “ATO COTEPE/ICMS N° 6” of 14-Apil-2008 (updated by “ATO COTEPE/ICMS 51” of 29-November-2011.
  • Support for Brazil Fiscal book reporting through the integration between Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and the fiscal book solution licensed from SoftTeam. Customers that want to continue on SoftTeam’s Fiscal Books solution must contact Sonda do Brasil S.A. (the contact person is Eduardo Borba, Eduardo.borba@sondait.com.br) and negotiate support directly.
